tips for going from 00 gauge ears, to 7/16th gauge ears?

If they're still dear, it's likely because it's too soon to make the jump in size. Also, you could try wrapping your 00g plugs in a slick tape and continue to gradually increase its diameter over a few days to get to 7/16 inch.
